In Nigeria, youth are in the driver’s seat when it comes to sustainable development and peace. In the past year, the UN in Nigeria through the UN interagency group on Youth has made significant strides by shaping large-scale policy shifts, and enabling grassroots actions, empowering a new generation of leaders.
With the UN’s support, policies such as the National Youth Policy, National Youth Employment Action Plan, and the Youth, Peace and Security National Action Plan, are helping institutionalize youth opportunities and leadership.
